Special anti-scaling agent for brine salt production (Q913)
Classification:
Product Description
1. Performance and Applications
The scale inhibitor Q913 is a composite made of organic polymer chelates and various specialty polymers, which can chelate with cations in the brine to block cations Ca2+ and Mg2+, suppressing their reaction with anions to form active sites for crystal nuclei and crystals such as CaCO3, CaSO4, and Mg(OH)2. It has a special adsorption ability that can inhibit normal crystal growth, leading to crystal deformation, and can also prevent crystal aggregation to maintain dispersion performance.
Q913 is an environmentally friendly and non-toxic scale inhibitor specifically for brine salt production, with no impact on subsequent processes. The product is easily soluble in water and has stable chemical properties. It exhibits excellent scale inhibition and dispersion performance under normal temperature, high temperature, high pH, and high salinity.
The raw materials for brine salt production mainly come from seawater and underground brine. The brine purification method is used to remove calcium and magnesium ions from the original brine, but it cannot completely eliminate them. A small amount of calcium and magnesium ions still remains in the purified brine, and it is alkaline. In the subsequent evaporation process, as the brine evaporates and concentrates, the concentration of calcium and magnesium ions in the brine also increases accordingly. Scaling and precipitation are likely to form in the evaporation tank and heating chamber, directly leading to a decrease in heat transfer rate, increased energy consumption, and a shortened continuous production cycle of the equipment. Additionally, due to the high salinity of the original brine, a large amount of deposition and scaling will form on the surface of the pipes during the transportation of the original brine, greatly affecting the transportation capacity and service life of the pipes. The Q913 scale inhibitor for brine salt production can increase the solubility of the formed crystals, effectively prevent crystal precipitation, and greatly improve the scaling and precipitation issues in the evaporation tank, preheating chamber, and pipeline transportation during the salt production process.
2. Quality Indicators
Indicator Name | Indicator Requirements |
Appearance | Yellow or brown liquid |
pH value (1% aqueous solution) | 3.0±1.5 |
Density (20℃·g/cm³) | 1.05~1.25 |
Solid Content (%) | ≥20.0 |
3. Usage Method
The recommended concentration of Q913 scale inhibitor for brine salt production is generally between 10~30mg/L, adjusted according to the content of scaling ions in the original brine and the purified brine.
It can be added as the original product or diluted before addition. It is recommended to use the original product; if dilution is needed, the dilution water should be clean, preferably using desalinated water, with a suggested dilution ratio of 1~3 times.
For the purified brine: its action points are in the evaporation tank, preheating chamber, and related connecting pipelines;
For the original brine: its action point is in the original brine transportation pipeline.
4. Precautions
This product is acidic, non-toxic, and odorless, and is classified as a non-flammable material. It should not splash into the eyes, skin, or clothing. If splashed into the eyes or on the skin, rinse immediately with plenty of water and seek medical attention if necessary. Protective goggles and acid-resistant gloves and other relevant labor protection equipment should be worn when handling this product.
5. Packaging and Storage
Packaged in 25kg plastic barrels. The product should be stored in a ventilated and dry place, with a shelf life of 12 months.
