Product Description

Special Biocide for Reverse Osmosis Membrane (Q559D)

  1. Performance and Applications

This product is a broad-spectrum biocide that can quickly exert bactericidal effects. As a maintenance measure for biological control solutions, it is mainly applied in reverse osmosis systems troubled by biological contamination. It is added during normal operation. The frequency of dosing can be determined after standardizing the performance of the system, taking into account the biological activity of the influent, effluent, and permeate water. It is widely used as a disinfectant, bactericide, algaecide, slime stripping agent, and anti-fog agent in: circulating cooling water systems, oilfield reinjection water systems, bactericides, algaecides, and slime stripping agents in the paper industry; preservatives for paints, wax products, inks, cleaners, surfactants, mud, and resins; bactericides and algaecides in process water in the machinery manufacturing industry, air purification systems, and municipal water landscape.

  3. Usage Method

When used as a slime stripping agent for water treatment, the dosing concentration is 100~200mg/L. When used as a bactericide for water treatment in circulating cooling water systems, it is added at 50~100mg/L based on the retained water volume.

  For membrane pollution control:

  Intermittent Dosing

For systems with not very serious biological contamination, dosing once a week for 2~3 hours at a concentration of 100ppm is recommended. If the total bacterial count in the influent is >100CFU/ml or if a biofilm has definitely formed in the reverse osmosis system, it is recommended to dose at a concentration of 150ppm for 3~5 hours.

  Continuous Dosing

When it is desired that no obvious biofilm appears in the system, a continuous dosing scheme can be adopted, with a recommended dosing concentration of 3~8ppm (the actual dosage should be adjusted according to the normal fluctuations in bacterial content).

  4. Packaging and Storage

Packaged in 25Kg/200Kg plastic barrels; prevent exposure to sunlight and rain during transportation; store in a ventilated, dry place below 40℃; avoid freezing, heating, or direct sunlight; product shelf life is six months.
